This course is taught in conjunction with Panther Protection Services, and consists of both classroom and live-fire instruction.

 

This course is designed to help participants understand the essentials of low light engagement.  It focuses on everything from selecting the right illumination source to fighting with it, whether your choice is a handheld device or weapon mounted light.   We also focus on the fundamentals of close quarter engagement (CQB).  You will leave understanding both protector and threat options.  It will introduce participants to realistic situations they may potentially face in their day-to-day environment.  Some of the topics we will cover are:

 

•  Understanding Light (Lumens vs Candle Power)

•  Understanding How Much Light You Require

•  Gear Review

•  Low Light Principles

•  Deploying Handheld Flashlights

•  Weapon Mounted Lights

•  Light Fighting Options

•  Fundamentals of CQB

•  Engagement Options

•  Maintaining Continuity of Fire (tactical and emergency reloading)

•  Managing Malfunctions

 

This training course is designed to help you increase your ability to defend your life or that of a loved one or associate and to prevail during a low light encounter.

Required Gear​

• Everyday Carry (EDC) firearm (handgun)

• Pistol holster and magazine carrier

• Flashlight and/or weapon mounted flashlight(s)

• Workout attire or Daily Wear* (Both a short and Long Sleeve shirt, long pants, comfortable footwear)

• Clear Eye Protection**

• Ear Protection

• If not vaccinated, mask or face covering (Required COVID-19 Protocol)**
